Apartment Complex Parking Lot Striping

We get calls from time to time by people who would like to know if we stripe apartment parking lots. Yes we do. We stripe and re-stripe most any type of business or entity. We stripe on asphalt and on concrete surfaces. Striping Apartment complexes is a little different than regular parking lots. They are usually more closed in and require an extra amount of planning and logistical consideration. Usually cars have to be moved in stages and tenants need to be notified in advance so that they are fully aware of their responsibility to help the process move along as smoothly as possible. Concrete Filled Pipe Bollards

Concrete filled pipe bollards also known as steel pipe bollards are used for many applications. In the parking lot maintenance industry, they used almost exclusively for protection. They can protect walls, signs, gas tanks, propane tanks, water valves, and ATM machines. We have installed them for all of these applications. Many times we will put a sign post in the bollard to protect the sign; mostly a handicap sign, from getting run over or damaged. Once a concrete filled pipe bollard is put in, there are some finishing steps to complete. These steps are some of the reasons why we think we stand out from others.

The pipe must be installed deep enough (3') and enough concrete must be used to keep the pipe solid for years if not decades.

To finish a pipe bollard it has to be filled with concrete and neatly and cleanly rounded off.
The concrete at the base (if it is installed in an existing concrete slab) must be neatly finished.
There can be no spilled concrete on the outside of the pipe. (many will spill it and try to paint over it.)
The pipe has to be painted safety yellow and there can be no overspray on the existing surface.

Barricades

These are pictures of a recently completed job that had forty barricade panels. The ones shown are the Type A, which are sometimes called the three board barricades. We also do the Type B, which are the one board barricades. In this case, the barricades were used to create a barrier for an undeveloped cul-de-sac that leads to farm land. Barricades are used at the end of roadways to warn traffic that it is not a through street. Often times you will see the warning barricades where a driveway opening leads to future development.

Our barricades are made per the MAG (Maricopa Association of Governments) specification. They are painted with reflective paint and have the diagonal red and white stripes. Be careful, some contractors will paint them without the reflective paint. Where each cross board attaches to the post, they have to have two lag bolts. Be careful, some will put just one.

As you can see by the pictures below, our barricades are straight and plumb. They are clean and spaced properly.
